The Plain Dealer: Gary Galbraith, professor and acting chair of the Department of Dance, discussed how he incorporates technology into dance. “Dance is not used as a means to showcase technology,” he said. “The technology is there to support the art. To that extent then, the technology should be totally invisible or it should have minimal impact.”

The department of Dance was well represented at the 25th annual meeting of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, October 8-11 in Pittsburgh, PA.  The faculty all presented, two alumni, Hannah Barna, MFA ’15 and Dani Dowler, MFA ’14, had a poster, while alumna Amanda Clark, MFA ’15 moderated several sessions and as chair of the student committee, along with current graduate student Andrea Alvarez, organized and oversaw a series of presentations specifically designed for student members.  …Read more.
