CWRU’s Mather Dance Collective (MaDaCol) will hold auditions for the fall performance on Sunday, Aug 30 at 5:00 pm at Mather Dance Center. This performance opportunity is open to all; no previous dance experience is necessary!
With choreography by the dance department graduate students, this modern dance performing group welcomes anyone with any skill level who is interested in dance and performing. MaDaCol meets once per week, every Sunday, from 5:00-7:30 pm. The performances will take place November 19-21.
The MaDaCol audition process is a little different than a standard audition. In this “reverse audition,” you will get to sample a bit of choreography from each of the pieces, and then rank which ones you’d like to be in most. MaDaCol officers will do their best to give you your first pick and you will rehearse and perform that piece at the end of the semester. Be sure to wear appropriate clothes to move in comfortably and bring a water bottle as the dance building can be hot!
